Classes

Sometimes things in the gym can get a little boring so we recommend hitting the studio for group exercise.

With over 600 muscles in the human body we have classes to work every single one. Whether you want to bulk up, strip fat or just be able to move a little better we have the classes for you!

Our instructors have the music, moves and motivation to get you fit and lean all we need is for you to walk through the doors and we’ll do the rest.

Strength – With classes like Kettlercise and Body Attack we’ll make your muscles scream out loud. Working the muscles is one of the best ways to burn fat.

Cardio – We like to have fun in our cardio classes and Zumba and Dancercise will certainly do this!

For those who want to get fit quick our spinning class is a great way to work the heart and lungs and get on a bit of a sweat!

Mind and Body – For those who want something slightly more sedate, Pilates and Sculpt will tick the box.

ZUMBA

Zumba Class - Compass Fitness

ZUMBA STEP

 

Forget everything that you know about ‘the Step’! This class is a spinoff of the ever popular Zumba®. It’s perfect for those looking to feel the burn. Do you want to feel the burn baby? Then ‘Step’ right up! Our awesome instructors combine the awesome toning and strengthening power of Step aerobics, with the fun fitness-party that only Zumba® brings to the dance-floor.

 

FITBALL

 

Using a Fitball you will tone and shape the arms, legs and core with a variety of moves and positions. Perfect for both Men and Women, this class is conducted at a low intensity but you will leave the class feeling like you have had a workout. Use our balls or to guarantee a place bring you own from home!

MELT

 

For the non cardio inclined, this is a hardcore circuit class…..FAT BURNING at its finest, 45 minutes of constant motion. One step below Bootcamp, one step above death… You squat, flex, press, crunch and question your existence.

 

SCULPT

 

Take some time out from the stresses of daily life and join us in a class designed to enhance your physical and mental well-being. Blending elements of Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates, Flexibility and Core Strength training you WILL hit the thighs, bums, tums and all those hard to reach places!

BODY ATTACK

 

Is the fastest way to shape up and lose body fat. BODY ATTACK is a toning and conditioning class with weights. Perfect for both men and women who want to add muscle endurance into their workout. During the class you will remain stationary and use a bar and a set of weights. Each track works a different muscle group and the power of a group environment coupled with strong music will motivate the most timid of participants. If you’re unsure how much weight to use just ask your instructor.

ABSOLUTION

 

It’s back to Old School in this concentrated abs and back work, which will take you through a full range of Ab exercises followed by some deep stretching to assist with your posture and alignment. The ultimate Total Core Workout.

SPINNING

Spinning Class - Compass Fitness

Is an indoor cycling class based on outdoor riding. You ride to inspirational music controlling the intensity of your workout with variable resistance on your pedals. This means that riders of all abilities can ride together. As you ride more frequently you will become more fitter!

REAR ATTITUDE

 

Hey Sistas! You isn’t gonna get no Sexy Ass like Beyonce if you don’t train that Ass! Join us for a 30 minute workout dedicated to the thighs, hips and bum. Improve your ASSets with this complete lower body experience.

 

W.O.W – Workout for the Weekend

 

We love surprises here at Compass… And what better surprise than a Workout For The Weekend. This class will be different every week to keep our members on their toes. We’ll announce at the start of the week via Facebook what the class will consist of so keep your eyes peeled!….

DANCERCISE

 

Is a hip way towards ultra-fitness, providing an inspiring and fun opportunity to get in shape. It’s ideal for aerobic fitness, improving tone and agility as well as developing core strength and co-ordination.

KETTLERCISE

Kettlercise Classes - Compass Fitness

Covers a huge range of 37 kettlebell exercises ranging from basic moves to more advanced techniques, from high energy pulse rates to being able to place extra emphasis on target muscle groups like abs, glutes, arms and thighs and all with maximum effectiveness.

 

KETTLERCISE COMBAT-MX

What happens when you combine two of the best fat burning workouts on the planet; Kettlercise and Combat? You get the newly launched ‘Kettlercise Combat-MX’. Split into ‘8 Zones’ or ‘Rounds’ ranging from the traditional Kettlebell upper and lower body attack, combat core, to dynamic high velocity combat zones performed without a kettlebell integrating moves from all areas of Mixed Martial Arts. We’ll be integrating Kicks, Punches, Elbows and Combinations in a complete 45 minute, high energy, up tempo workout set to a specific music beat.

 

PILATES

 

Pilates aims to rebalance the body improving posture, core stability, flexibility and balance.

Pilates targets both mind and body with smooth flowing movements co-ordinated with efficient breathing.

The progressive, functional exercises are ideal for everyone from those recovering from injury to athletes wishing to enhance performance.

 

RUNNING CLUB

 

Our Tuesday Club operates at 6.30pm and is predominantly aimed at Beginners and those new to running although all levels are welcome. We call Tuesday ‘Couch to 5k’. We want to take you off the Couch and get you up to 5 kilometres! On Thursday the distance increases with anything between 5 and 10 kilometres and is aimed at the intermediate runner who is capable of further distances.  All runs take place from Compass on Barry’s Lane and will incorporate some amazing local scenery and trails.
